A man was shot in the southern neighborhood of Guayaquil by criminals who stole his cell phone

The victim was walking to open her business when two motorcycles approached her to steal her cell phone.

A man who was walking in the Seguro neighborhood, in southern Guayaquil, was shot by armed criminals who stole his cell phone. It happened at 07:00 on this Tuesday, December 14.

The victim had left his home and was walking to open his business, located a few blocks away, when two men on a motorcycle caught up with him.

The witnesses say that they began to demand the cell phone and that the neighbor struggled, walked several meters and crossed the street, until they shot him at the corner.

Neighbors heard two shots; one of them impacted the arm of the inhabitant.

On the corner of Thomas Wright and Havana streets, in that sector near the Centenario neighborhood, there were blood stains and even a cover with bread that the victim was carrying. Four blocks from there is a Community Police Unit (UPC).

When the uniformed officers arrived at the point, they had already transferred the wounded man to a medical home.

The agents did not find ballistic evidence at the scene, so it is presumed that the thieves used a revolver.

In the sector there are several security cameras that would have captured the theft. On the morning of this Tuesday an operation was activated to find the criminals. (I)
