Britain expanded sanctions against Russia

The British authorities have expanded the list of sanctions against Russia. Another 45 companies and individuals from Russia and firms from Belarus fell under the restrictions, according to the website of the government of the kingdom.

It is noted that among the Russian individuals and companies included in the list: one of the designers of the Lancet drone, Alexander Zakharov, and members of his family, as well as members of the board of directors of the Soyuz aircraft engine scientific and technical complex, as well as Yan Petrovsky, one of the leaders of the sabotage assault reconnaissance group (DSRG) “Rusich”, detained in Finland. In addition, Russian businessman Dmitry Strezhnev, who is a co-owner of a number of large companies in the chemical and engineering industries, came under restrictions – he owns a 10% stake in Eurochem.

Also included in the “black list” are OJSC Aircraft Engine Scientific and Technical Complex “Soyuz”, Scientific and Production Enterprise “Radar mms”, JSC “Votkinsk Machine-Building Plant” and JSC “Radiotechkomplekt”. Companies registered in Belarus, Serbia, Uzbekistan, as well as Turkey and China have also been added to the sanctions list. Thus, restrictions affected the Vitebsk Design Bureau “Display”. Sanctions also affected four ship-owning companies, which, according to the British authorities, supply oil in violation of the price ceiling imposed by the G7 countries.

According to London, the sanctioned individuals and companies are “associated with the development and production of drones and missile components, as well as the supply of electronic components.”

Earlier it was reported that the EU would impose sanctions against Chinese companies helping Russia.
