The expert claims that drinking coffee and freshly squeezed citrus juices on an empty stomach is a blow to the body. These drinks may cause stomach problems. At the same time, coffee in the morning is especially dangerous; it can provoke abdominal pain, cramps and pressure.
You should also avoid fruits for breakfast, because they contain acid, which spoils the stomach and contributes to the development of gastritis, heartburn or bloating.
You should not start the day with sweets or sweet soda. These products have high sugar content. And it affects the increase in glucose in the body, which only dulls appetite for a short time and eliminates the feeling of hunger.
Fresh baked goods in the morning are also dangerous – they lead to heartburn, heaviness and bloating, the nutritionist warned.
Her colleague, nutritionist Igor Strokov, also added bananas to the list of bad breakfasts. According to him, they have the highest fructose content, and their consumption leads to a rapid increase and then a sharp decrease in blood sugar levels, which causes severe cravings for sweets.
