Petersburg business asks to reschedule the date of introducing QR codes for visiting shopping and entertainment centers and catering establishments. This is reported on his Telegram channel by Vice Governor Boris Piotrovsky, adding about “readiness to take these wishes into account” when drafting a new version of Government Decree No. 121 “On measures to counter the spread of a new coronavirus infection in St. Petersburg.”
Initially, it was assumed that QR codes for visiting shopping malls, cafes and restaurants (with the exception of industrial canteens, as well as cafes and restaurants at the airport and at train stations) will be introduced from December 1, 2021. Later, this date was postponed to December 27.
Today, Petersburgers and guests of the city are required to present QR codes when visiting museums, theaters, cinemas and concert halls, fitness clubs and swimming pools, as well as when checking into hotels. In addition, the city, which ranks second in Russia in terms of the incidence of coronavirus after Moscow, continues to be subject to restrictions related to the night operation of restaurants, cinemas and other establishments.
