Driver died after traffic accident in Quevedo

According to a witness, another car collided with the vehicle he was driving so he lost control and ended up crashing into a tree.

Anastasio Vargas Muñoz, 43, died last Sunday night, December 12, in a traffic accident that occurred on José Joaquín de Olmedo avenue, in the San Camilo parish, in Quevedo, in Los Ríos.

The mortal victim was driving a white 4×4 type vehicle when another car apparently collided with the back of his car, for which he lost control and ended up crashing into one of the trees that are located in the parterre of that avenue, witnesses indicated.

For now, the authorities continue to investigate the case to determine the circumstances of the event. So far there are no detainees and no other vehicle has been reported detained for the accident.

Four people who accompanied Anastasio Vargas were injured in this accident and are stable.

According to relatives of the deceased, he had spent a sporting afternoon with his friends and when he returned home the accident happened.

The deceased was the father of a 13-year-old teenager. Acquaintances stated that he worked as a security guard in a private urbanization in Quevedo.

The burial is scheduled for this Tuesday, December 14 in a private cemetery in the town, indicated several of his relatives. (I)
