President Daniel Noboa ordered Vice President Verónica Abad to meet with Foreign Affairs Minister Gabriela Sommerfeld to coordinate the fulfillment of her mission in Israel as a collaborator for peace. This was reported by the Government Secretariat for Communication after the second president’s press conference, where the distance between the members of the duo that took office on November 23 was confirmed.

Ecuador has a history of uneasy relations between the president and vice president, with exceptions. This time the signs of difference started quietly before the second lap.
