Traveler Konyukhov “scolded” those who complain of depression

The famous Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov called people who talk about burnout and depression as loafers and advised them to do something. He stated this when answering questions in an interview for “Lenta.ru”.

According to Konyukhov, those who complain of despondency can go to work on a construction site or, if they do not have their own child, take him from the orphanage.

“I read somewhere that a woman in China bought a piece of industrial land and planted one million trees in her life! This is definitely not a life lived in vain. I am sure she was not depressed, ”the traveler emphasized.

He also revealed the secret of financing his expeditions and described the process of finding sponsors with the phrase “no one gives anything for nothing,” – his team finds start-up funding, creates a project with a detailed cost estimate and starts searching for sponsors.

Let us remind you that today Konyukhov is 70 years old, and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin congratulated him on this anniversary. The head of state in a telegram called Konyukhov “an extraordinary, strong-willed man”, as well as a “brave and tireless” traveler.

We add that Fyodor Konyukhov is a Soviet and Russian traveler, writer, artist, priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate). He made five single-handed voyages around the world, crossed the Atlantic 17 times, and once – on a rowboat.
