The renovated sports school on Baltiysky Boulevard accepted 550 children. As RosBalt was informed by the press service of the St. Petersburg administration, the quality of the repairs carried out at the school was assessed by Governor Alexander Beglov during a working tour of the Krasnoselsky district.
“There are new buildings around, in which many young families live, including large families. A sports school is very necessary here,” said the head of the city.
Children from the age of six participate in the sports school. It has sections for wrestling, judo, fencing, and acrobatic rock and roll. Various sporting events can also be held here. The governor inspected the boxing and taekwondo training rooms, the gym and the games room. In addition, he presented the school with certificates for the purchase of sports uniforms and portable music speakers.

Alexander Beglov recalled that more than five hundred sports facilities are currently operating in the Krasnoselsky district. Among them are two ski resorts, places for shooting sports, two Gazprom sports and recreation centers.
“As our president emphasizes, the availability of sports infrastructure, the quality and variety of sports facilities directly affect the quality of life and health of millions of people, encourage people to play sports, choose active leisure and, most importantly, a healthy lifestyle,” Beglov noted.
