The first classes have already taken place in the completely renovated building. There are sections for wrestling, football, volleyball, chess, table tennis, and other sports, and classes in adaptive physical education are provided. Today the governor presented five students of the center with golden GTO badges.
“Among the tasks that we are solving within the framework of the national project on behalf of the president is the development of sports. It is very important. We need to invest in this, because sport is the health of the future generation. Children and adults should play sports. We create the necessary conditions for this. Kids and first-graders are already passing the GTO standards and receiving gold marks,” noted Alexander Beglov. According to him, in St. Petersburg in 2023, 4,700 people passed the complex standards, more than 3,000 received gold badges.
