In a new report to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the working group on military operations proposed equalizing some benefits for different categories of combatants. This was announced by the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council and Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Andrei Turchak, RBC reports.
In particular, she proposed extending several benefits that are currently only available to contract soldiers to volunteers. For example: one-time payments in case of injury or death, tax deduction for personal income tax, property tax benefits.
In addition, the working group proposed: giving the opportunity to parents and spouses of seriously wounded military personnel and volunteers to take leave from work while caring for them; allow family members of a participant in a military operation to register him at his place of residence by proxy; approve a unified procedure for booking tickets for combatants if they are going on vacation or for treatment; provide a special procedure for comprehensive rehabilitation for those injured so that the military can undergo it out of turn.
The working group on SVO issues, led by Turchak, was created by order of President Vladimir Putin. It included representatives of both houses of parliament and all parliamentary parties, the Ministry of Defense, leaders of public organizations, and leading war correspondents.
