Four people were injured after a hitman-style attack in the Manta area

MANTA, Manabi

A new hitman-style attack took place Sunday night near a citadel located west of Manta. This incident left four people injured and occurred near the Ciudad del Sol citadel.

Preliminary versions indicate that the attackers attacked a vehicle in which the four wounded were traveling. The antisocials fired at least seven times.

After that attack, those responsible abandoned the car in which they were mobilizing and proceeded to burn it at the Tohallí coliseum, on the Manta-San Mateo road.

“As a result of this event, we have four people injured with gunshot wounds, two women and two men. There is the special group, the Dinased, raising the greatest amount of evidence, ”stated Luis Banda Padilla, head of the Manta police district.

The person who was driving the car, who was attacked by bullets, drove the vehicle to a clinic in Manta, where they received medical attention.

Specialized police personnel arrived at that place to protect the wounded and also to collect evidence found inside the shot-up vehicle, which was left in the emergency access of said clinic.

People on average are between 20 and 25 years old. The police investigated and reviewed security videos in which they sought to have details of those responsible for this attack.

After that event, the police detained two people, who allegedly carried a firearm, but it was not reported whether these were related to this incident that left four injured. (I)
