Security measures are ready, and rehearsals for the transfer of command began two days before the inauguration of Daniel Nobo Azín as President of the Republic. He takes office tomorrow, Thursday, November 23, and there is a general analysis of how he will perform at Carondelet, but there is something else.

Daniel Noboa begins his administration with just over 65% approval rating. Today it is relevant that he will rule for Ecuadorians in general, for those who voted and did not vote for him, for those who believe and for those who doubt, also for the apolitical. The decisions you make will affect everyone.

That citizenship must be your inspiration, from there will come your support, support, but also requests and criticisms.

From trade unions, chambers, academia, social organizations and even the media, the president must expect support for his positive proposals and criticism when he is wrong, as well as proposals and plans as input.

He has the wisdom to defend his views and convince the citizens of what he believes with arguments, but also the maturity to correct and take positively what is suggested to him, regardless of whether it comes from followers or from the opposition.

It is prudent for the president to take the voice of those who question him in a proactive way and for the president to hear from the other side to reach an agreement. Bubbles and egos have not been good for Ecuador and must be broken.

Citizens and the president expect the National Assembly to work conscientiously and honestly in accordance with constitutional mandates. Daniel Noboa Azín will take office before the parliamentarians. Striving for joint work of the executive and legislative authorities in these years and a half is absolutely necessary.

The wish that Daniel Noboa Azín does well as president wishes that to all Ecuadorians. He and the people of this country must hope for better days and work for it. (OR)
