The Kremlin has rejected accusations that Russian border guards delivered migrants to the Finnish border

The Kremlin does not accept accusations from the Finnish authorities against the Russian Federation regarding the delivery of migrants to the border. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, Interfax writes.

“In this case, I would not comment. We do not accept such accusations,” Peskov noted, adding that “border crossings are used by those who have the legal right to do so.” The Kremlin spokesman noted that “border guards fully comply with all their official instructions.”

“And if they are trying to find some far-fetched reasons, then again we do not accept such accusations against us,” Peskov added.

Earlier, Finnish authorities said that Russian border guards were delivering migrants to the Finnish border to provoke a crisis.

Regarding the likely closure of all nine checkpoints on the land border with Russia in the coming days, Peskov noted that this causes nothing but deep regret. He emphasized that constructive relations were replaced by “an exclusively Russophobic position, which the leaders of this country began to adhere to.”

Let us remind you that earlier the Finnish authorities closed the crossings on the border with Russia in the southeast of the country – Vaalimaa, Nuijamaa, Niirala and Imatra. Later it became known that the Finnish authorities are preparing to completely close the border with the Russian Federation.
