TV presenter and head physician of Moscow Hospital No. 71 Alexander Myasnikov spoke about the basic principles of hardening.
According to him, strengthening the body and increasing its resistance to various viruses and bacteria is possible at any age and for any person. The doctor, in a conversation with the Public News Service, noted that you need to start little by little. “The medicine for poison differs only in dose. It’s clear that if you are a person with chronic illnesses, love warmth and even wash your face with warm water in the morning, it will be difficult for you,” he explained.
Dr. Myasnikov advises ventilating your home, walking barefoot at home, and making the task more difficult each time, for example, setting yourself the goal of learning how to douse yourself with cold water. “First, wash with a little warm water, gradually lower the temperature and get used to cold water,” Myasnikov said, adding that cold water is a source of health.
The specialist admitted that he himself began to harden himself at an adult age – 50 years old. “In the summer I went to the river, then in September, then in October, November and then I didn’t even take a towel with me. Then it was ice, and so I slowly got involved,” the doctor recalled.
At the same time, he emphasized that you need to start hardening yourself before the cold season. Speaking about the benefits of the procedure, Myasnikov said that it “gives, in addition to health, colossal pleasure and self-esteem.”
