“The roads are clean and dry”: Muscovites were urged to wash their cars and urgently go to their dachas

The chief specialist of the Moscow Meteorological Bureau, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, predicted dry and frosty weather in Moscow in the coming days.

According to her, there will be no precipitation in the capital for at least a week. At the same time, in the city this coming weekend it will freeze to minus 11 degrees at night, and during the day the thermometer will show from minus three to minus five degrees.

“The average daily air temperature corresponds to the middle of January,” the meteorologist wrote in her Telegram channel. She also gave Muscovites a number of recommendations in connection with the onset of cold weather.

“We urgently go to the site and cover the roses! They will still survive one night with an air temperature of minus 11 – minus 13, but two are already on the verge,” advises Pozdnyakova. She recommends carefully covering the bushes with special material. “Don’t forget that the “blanket” should be larger than the flowerbed, at least 1-1.5 m, in order to protect the roots,” the forecaster added.

In addition, Pozdnyakova called on Moscow residents to wash their cars so that they could “get aesthetic pleasure from its cleanliness for at least a week,” since the city will be dry and the roads will be clean.

Earlier, Pozdnyakova promised Muscovites a “real December” by the beginning of next week.
