The volume of housing construction in Russia in October 2023 amounted to 6 million 468 thousand square meters. m, which is 25.5% less than in October 2022, according to Rosstat materials published on Tuesday.
In January–October 2023, housing construction in the country decreased by 1.8% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 86 million 198.3 thousand square meters. m, Interfax reports.
As reported, in September 2023, 9 million 539 thousand square meters were introduced into the Russian Federation. m of housing, which is 0.9% more than in September 2022; 10 million 187.4 thousand square meters were commissioned in August. m (an increase of 12.3% in annual terms), 7 million 883.5 thousand sq. m were commissioned in July. m (decrease by 1.6%), in June – 8 million 884.5 thousand sq. m. m (an increase of 9.1%), in May – 7 million 181.9 thousand square meters. m (an increase of 4.5%), in April – 7 million 128.4 thousand sq. m. m (decrease by 14.3%), in March – 8 million 638.1 thousand square meters. m (decrease by 3.5%), in February 2023 – 8 million 276.8 thousand square meters. m of housing (a drop of 17.2%), in January – 12 million 010.8 thousand square meters. m (growth by 16.1%).
At the end of 2022, a record 102 million 712.7 thousand square meters were commissioned (for the entire period of observation since 1991). m of housing (growth by 11% by 2021) after 92.6 million sq. m (previous record) in 2021 (growth by 2020 was then 12.7%).
The Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Russia Irek Fayzullin expects housing commissioning at the end of 2023 at the level of 104 million square meters. m.
