It is necessary that the cases of psychosocial risks that occur in the educational context are processed in a timely manner by the competent authorities. Prevention of any effect is the first step and within this framework is the positive agreement “Protocols and directions of action against psychosocial risks in the national education system” of the Ministry of Education.

Situations of suicide, attempted suicide, situations of child labor, disappearances, human trafficking and smuggling of migrants are among the topics that must be worked on in order to implement prevention and comprehensive action, with the necessary resources and personnel, which the state department says will be promoted by this agreement, emphasizing work with children and adolescents, which will be mandatory in schools and colleges of all kinds.

It is crucial for the state that the education system, through the National Plan for the Prevention of Psychosocial Risks, deals with these problems and cooperates as a protagonist.

It is the joint task of the government and society to work to protect minors from these problems, in a scenario where technology has also become another aspect to consider, especially with social networks, where there are even dangers with viral challenges. The connection between educational centers, parents and the community in general can enable the establishment of mechanisms that will make any preventive strategy more effective and give more scope, identifying students at risk, monitoring those already affected and taking action.

If these contracts are executed and not left in the document, they will prevent psychosocial risks at an early age from becoming emotional, behavioral or health problems and/or from worsening during adulthood, affecting life in society. This is something that deserves all attention in the pursuit of the welfare of the whole country. (OR)
