The geomagnetic field on the evening of Saturday, November 11, will again enter a slightly disturbed state. This was reported by the leading employee of the Phobos weather center, Mikhail Leus.
According to him, magnetic storms are again expected on Earth. “On Sunday night, disturbances in the Earth’s magnetosphere will reach the level of weak magnetic storms of class G1,” the weather forecaster wrote in his Telegram channel, recalling that less than a week ago a powerful magnetic storm occurred, which lasted about two days and at its maximum on November 5 reached the level G3.
The upcoming magnetic storm, according to preliminary forecasts, will be short-lived, Leus noted, adding that in the second half of Sunday the intensity of disturbances will decrease.
He warned that magnetic storms could cause interference in radio communications and disruptions in the operation of energy systems. The specialist also admitted the appearance of aurora. In addition, the expert advised weather-dependent people to limit work that requires increased attention and concentration during periods of increased solar activity, avoid stressful situations and get plenty of rest.
Earlier, weather forecaster Leus revealed when climatic winter would come to Moscow.
