Uniformed men from Guayaquil have given several trainings to their peers from Chone, through an agreement between both institutions.
CHONE, Manabi
The Guayaquil Fire Department has given several trainings to its Chone counterpart since last February, after the signing of an agreement between both institutions to strengthen the activities they carry out for the benefit of citizens.
The uniformed men have received instructions on public purchases, storage of materials and goods, basic automotive and hydraulic mechanics, use and handling of vehicle pumps, handling of ropes and knots, among other topics.
These classes have been taught in two modalities: some virtual and others have been face-to-face in both cities.
“They have an extraordinary structure, I have seen it; Possibly the best trucks in the entire province (of Manabí) are here in Chone (…). This allows the two institutions to cross-train and train ”, said Martín Cucalón, chief of the Guayaquil Fire Department, in February, when the agreement was signed.
Farley Zambrano, chief of the Chone Fire Department, commented that they are constantly being trained to be better prepared to attend to emergencies that arise in this canton.
He added that they have also signed agreements with other national institutions to strengthen the work they do.
“Now we are preparing for 2022, where we hope to continue serving the community when they need us,” said Zambrano, adding that among the institution’s projections it is planned to expand with new infrastructure in Chone. (I)
