A video of less than a minute is circulating on social networks where Washington Darwin Nazareno Mideros, brother of Miguel Ángel Nazareno, is supposedly seen in captivity. The latter, better known as Don Naza, a popular character in Quevedo who until the middle of this year collected money and offered to pay it in eight days with up to 90% interest.
Darwin was kidnapped on Monday the 6th, on the Buena Fe-Quevedo road, at a gas station in Quevedo.
That day, four men intercepted him and intimidated him with firearms, and then put him, under threats, in a gray vehicle in which his captors were mobilizing.
Family members formally denounced Darwin’s kidnapping at the Prosecutor’s Office.

“We want our three million dollars in twelve hours. If, otherwise, in twelve hours he does not obey the orders, your Nazarene relative will be beheaded, “says the voice heard in the video.
Two police officers confirmed the veracity of the video. For its part, the National Police has not yet ruled on the matter.

The Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that the kidnapped is the brother of Miguel Ángel Nazareno. The latter appeared as the owner of the then Big Money platform, which operated in Quevedo. According to the authorities, the activity he was doing was illegal and for this reason two judicial processes were opened: for alleged illegal capture of money and massive fraud.
Miguel Nazareno’s wife is also linked to these legal proceedings, as well as a third person, identified as Dayana S.
“With the complaint from the relatives of the citizen that is observed in the video of the gas station, where the event occurred, it is confirmed that Washington Nazareno, brother of the leader of Big Money, is indeed kidnapped,” said, at the time, the Los Ríos provincial prosecutor, Karina Gianopatín.
