It is advisable for a person to eat three times a day, and also have a snack if necessary, for example, between breakfast and lunch. Nutritionist Tatyana Zabalueva stated this, writes Belarus Today.
According to the specialist, breakfast should be from 7 to 9 am, lunch – from 12 to 14, and dinner – from 17 to 19.
At the same time, you can include a snack between breakfast and lunch – preferably fruit or healthy sweets. If you want to have a snack between lunch and dinner, then the food should be very light and better than protein, the nutrition specialist added.
In her opinion, there should be only one snack and should not be carbohydrate. Fatty foods are also not recommended.
Zabalueva’s colleague, nutritionist Ksenia Chernaya, in turn, noted that regular brunches can cause deficiencies in the body. The gastrointestinal tract will cope with its functions much worse, and the body will not receive enough necessary microelements, the expert noted. According to her, the gastrointestinal tract, which is designed to extract all the beneficial vitamins from food, will “sleep.” The specialist does not advise moving the first meal to a later time or abandoning it altogether.
