Zelensky spoke about negotiations with Russia

The topic of peace negotiations between Ukraine and Russia continues to be discussed in the press. Questions about a likely resolution of the situation are regularly asked to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in interviews by foreign correspondents – in one of them he spoke about dialogue with the Russian Federation and pressure on him from the West.

“Everyone knows my attitude, which coincides with the attitude of Ukrainian society. Nobody is putting pressure on me today,” Zelensky said at a press conference with the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, NBC News reported.

“Today, none of the leaders of the EU or the United States is putting pressure on us… For us to sit down with Russia now and talk and give it something – this will not happen,” the president added.

The media, however, notes that Washington, Brussels and Kyiv are already discussing what will have to be given up in order to reach an agreement on a cessation of hostilities. Allegedly, in the West, Ukraine is being offered NATO security guarantees even without officially joining the alliance.

The channel claims that discussions have intensified amid concerns among Western officials over the stalled conflict and problems with providing assistance to Ukraine. Earlier, the head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, said that the conflict had reached a dead end.
