In search of suppression of insecurity, citizens put bars at the entrances to their settlements. The municipality of Guayaquil is working on an ordinance to regulate it. (OR)
The municipality is working on an ordinance that regulates the installation of bars in Guayaquil: residents want their investments not to be lost

Any action aimed at seeking protection from the insecurity that exists in every corner of the country will be valid and must be regulated by an institution that can control and validate every action carried out or carried out by citizens; and, in this case, what better than the municipality of Guayaquil.
The population must and must look for solutions in every neighborhood in order to defend themselves against robberies, kidnappings and crime, because the Government, despite increasing the number of police officers, has not had the expected success so far.
The new government should not make the same mistakes as its predecessors and thus achieve the long-awaited peace, so that it can work peacefully and offer the best of our beloved Ecuador to those who visit us. (OR)
“We will have to remove the bars or we will listen to each other and start a dialogue, but we will not allow surprises”, says Mayor Aquiles Alvarez about the bars in Urdenor 2

Of course, I agree with the introduction of grids for neighborhood security and that it be regulated by the municipality of Guayaquil. Considering that Guayaquil is in the hands of organized crime in this regard, the residents of the neighborhood sacrifice themselves to cooperate economically with each other and hire the services of master welders, who would make and install security doors with metal bars, so that they can live with a little more security in these sectors affected “owners of other people’s property”.
Unfortunately, the national police do little or nothing to ensure neighborhood safety, as their resources are limited in the face of bigger and better armed crime.
The Municipality of Guayaquil must encourage or favor the implementation of these security projects, as long as these structures allow the entry of vehicles without difficulty, such as ambulances, firefighters, national police, Interagua, CNT, etc. (OR)

I understand that the municipality has always granted permits for the construction of pedestrian bars. It’s complicated to use bars in places where cars move, because you’re restricting movement, it’s like putting bars on an avenue; It is logical that it is in residential areas. It is worth noting that regulation and licensing are not the same. (OR)
