Contrary to what logic suggests, the septic tank in which part of the leadership of the Civil Revolution was placed was a way of washing some of its countless dirty laundry. Without needing to get into what could be considered personal (although the personal lives of public figures are known to be public), the issues made clear in the footage are tricky, and some may even amount to crimes. It is a rot that includes embezzlement, abuse of hierarchical position, harassment, gender violence, intimidation, use of public positions for party purposes, “piponazgo”, direct threats – and indirect, which are the most terrible -, mutual suspicions, identification with enemies in one’s own ranks, loss of free will on the basis of blind obedience to the boss. In short, an absolute lack of ethics. As folk wisdom says, with such friends…

Certainly, many faithful sheep must be grateful that this whole episode was postponed or who knows if they definitely put aside the self-criticism that fits when they lose two elections in a row. This inward look is much more necessary if the winners were weak candidates, without articulated and implementable programs, without organizational structures and without work teams. In the few explanations, accusations against the media predominate, under the absurd assumption that voters are guided by the media, and not by social networks where Koreanism prevails. Folk wisdom (in this case biblical) comes again with the parable of the thorn in another’s side.

Here, the dilemma between defeat or failure is very visible, which is what needs to be done when analyzing politics. Defeat was caused by the superiority of the enemy, while failure resulted from one’s own weaknesses. By describing the results of these elections as defeats, it is assumed that one’s own strategy and strength were adequate, but that the opponent had the means to win. If they are considered failures, it means that the fault is within, that one’s position was weak and/or that many mistakes were made.

Several explanations of the faithful sheep point to defeat, because in this way they avoid their own responsibility, while at the same time perpetuating the myth of a monstrous enemy who has vast resources and is always on the lookout. On the contrary, classifying it as a failure would force us to recognize inefficiencies not only in the development of the campaign, but in fundamental issues such as the diagnosis of the country and the programmatic content arising from it. Furthermore, entering that field would inevitably lead to questioning the dependence on the manager who owns the project, which is a major factor in failure, but that would be the greatest heresy they could commit.

It is clear from the outside that it was a failure caused by the wrong decisions of the only one with a vote (starting with the imposition of the candidate). It is undeniable that Koreanism is the first electoral force, but it is not greater than the sum of the others. He is a giant in Lilliput who, as in the story, is defeated when the dwarves gather. And they don’t come together because they are bad, but because of the instinct to survive. (OR)
