After the assassination attempt, ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev remains in intensive care. This was reported by his friend, journalist Alexander Chalenko, RBC reports.
“If the condition allows, they will be transported to Moscow,” Chalenko noted. He added that Tsarev is under heavy FSB protection.
Let us remind you that the attempt on the life of 53-year-old Oleg Tsarev living in Yalta was committed on the night of October 28. It was reported that he had been shot. The fact of the assassination attempt was confirmed by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin. It was noted that the attempt was committed around midnight on the territory of a sanatorium in Crimea.
The FSB opened a criminal case, and the Crimean department of the Russian Investigative Committee also began its investigation.
Earlier, Reuters, citing Ukrainian special services and anonymous sources, reported that the assassination attempt was a special operation of the Security Service of Ukraine. However, the sources did not provide any details of the special operation.
Oleg Tsarev was a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from 2002 to 2014. In 2014, he ran for the presidential elections in Ukraine, but withdrew his candidacy. Currently he is the co-founder and director of the Kirov sanatorium in Yalta. Last May, a court in Kyiv sentenced Tsarev in absentia to 12 years in prison for publicly calling for a violent change and overthrow of the constitutional order of Ukraine.
