A new monument to the family of Nicholas II was unveiled in Livadia. The appearance of the monument has caused heated debate in social networks.
According to critics, the faces of the members of the royal family turned out to be dead and sketchy. At the same time, the Romanovs are placed in a strange cocoon in the form of closing wings. To the Crimeans, this image was more reminiscent of the xenomorph egg from the movie “Alien”.
“And I thought it was an ordinary Georgian family in the stomach of some terrible arthropod creature,” Nikolai Viktorov wrote in the public “Overheard Yalta”.
The sculptural composition was installed five meters from the monument to the participants of the Yalta conference – Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt. The placement of the monument with the murdered members of the royal family next to the monument to Stalin seemed unethical to many.
The author of the composition was the novice sculptor Yuri Mayorov.

But it stands five meters from the Stalin-Roosevelt-Churchill monument in Livadia. Russia has already been horrified once by Alenka.
