Since during the New Year holidays, most state institutions go on vacation, then in December some pensioners will receive payments twice. State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarab spoke about this on the air of Duma TV.
Bessarab clarified that due to weekends and holidays, if pensions are not paid in advance, delays in the accrual of money may occur. That is why pensions and social benefits are paid twice in December.
We will remind, on the eve of the State Duma adopted in the first reading and immediately as a whole a law providing for an increase in the salaries of assistants to deputies and senators. The bill provides for a 20% increase in the total monthly wage fund for assistants to the State Duma deputies and members of the Federation Council. Note that each deputy has the right to hire up to seven assistants working on a fixed-term service contract (labor contract).
The parliamentarians justified the increase in the salaries of their assistants by the need to hire highly qualified personnel in connection with the expansion of the powers of the deputies themselves.
The total monthly salary fund for assistants will grow from 300 thousand rubles (taking into account indexation from October 1, 2019 by 4.3%, from October 1, 2020 by 3% – 322.3 thousand rubles) to 387 thousand rubles.
The adoption of the bill will require the allocation of additional budgetary allocations from the federal budget in the amount of 761.4 million rubles in 2022, 794.8 million rubles in 2023, and 822.4 million rubles in 2024.
