CNN: CIA intends to change the methods of training agents for “quiet” work in Russia and China

The US CIA, which has been involved in the fight against terrorism since 2001, has decided to rethink its training and education methods to focus on Russia and China. The plans of the CIA were announced by the American television channel CNN, citing their sources, RIA Novosti reports.

According to sources, many former ex-CIA officers are talking about the need to return to the traditional “quiet” work required to collect intelligence on “complex” states, including China and Russia. The changes will allow the CIA to ensure that agents work well outside the United States, for example, in West Africa, where China is actively investing.

According to the plan, to improve the work of the CIA, staff will receive training with specialization in a specific geographic region. Special attention will be paid to learning local languages ​​and solving specific problems that the agent may face.

The CIA also intends to attract more speakers of the Mandarin language (the most common dialect of Chinese), invest in technology, and focus on collecting information about people.

As for Russia, the channel did not specify exactly how the new methods of the CIA would affect the work in the Russian direction.
