More than half of Ukrainians agree to direct negotiations with Russia, but want to establish a visa regime with the Russian Federation

More than half of Ukrainians (56%) support direct negotiations with Russia to resolve the conflict in Donbass. These are the results of a public opinion poll conducted by the Sociological Group “Rating” in the first decade of December. 41% of the respondents were against this.

At the same time, 52% of the respondents were in favor of introducing visas with the Russian Federation.

45% of the respondents agree with the expansion of the “Normandy format”, with the involvement of, in addition to the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Germany and France, – the United States and Great Britain. 46% support the involvement of Turkey in negotiations, and not on Crimea, but on Donbass.

The poll participants consider the main allies of Ukraine to be Canada, Lithuania, Poland, Great Britain, the USA and Turkey. Most people call China a “neutral country”.

Over the past year, the attitude of Ukrainians to Belarus has radically changed. The number of those who consider it a hostile country has increased from 22 to 48%. However, the anti-rating of the Russian Federation is much higher: 72% of respondents consider it an enemy and only 12% – a union country.
