In Ukraine, members of 13 private military companies (PMCs) from Europe are fighting against Russia, and also represented nine foreign paramilitary proxy forces. This was stated by the Director of the FSB of Russia, Alexander Bortnikov, at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of the CIS Member States, Interfax reports.
According to him, almost 800 mercenaries from 35 countries have been identified.
Bortnikov added that “representatives of the special forces of the British armed forces participated in the training of Ukrainian saboteurs who were planning attacks on military and transport facilities in Russia, as well as nuclear power plants.” According to him, this fact was established during operational and investigative measures. “Such actions of Ukrainian military intelligence and its British mentors should be qualified as nuclear terrorism,” the head of the FSB noted, explaining that “the group’s tasks included sabotage of military facilities, oil, transport and critical infrastructure, as well as nuclear energy , “specifically, the Smolensk and Kursk nuclear power plants.”
In addition, according to him, international terrorists are part of the DRGs sent from Ukraine to Russia for attacks and terrorist attacks. In general, in the EU countries, “under the patronage of NATO intelligence services, there are 17 training camps where militants from among members of international terrorist organizations and mercenaries are trained for Ukraine,” Bortnikov added. According to him, “the priority goal of terrorists is to seize power in the countries of Central Asia, primarily in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.”
