The Investigative Committee of Russia announced the completion of the investigation into the criminal case against Daria Trepova* (included by Rosfinmonitoring in the list of terrorists and extremists)accused of committing a terrorist attack in a St. Petersburg cafe, which resulted in the death of military correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky.
According to the official representative of the department, Svetlana Petrenko, the case with the indictment has now been transferred to the court.
According to the ICR, the crime “was carefully prepared for a long time on the territory of Ukraine” by persons who did not agree with the conduct of the SVO. “The terrorist attack was organized with the aim of intimidating the population and inducing them to abandon views that approve of the goals and objectives of the SVO, as well as to discredit the activities of government bodies of the Russian Federation,” the ICR said in a statement.
The Investigative Committee also noted that the investigation is ongoing against the organizers of the terrorist attack – Ukrainian Yuri Denisov, journalist Roman Popkov and other persons. They were put on the international wanted list and arrested in absentia.
Let us remind you that an explosion in a cafe in the center of St. Petersburg occurred on April 2. As investigators established, Trepova, “following the instructions of persons operating from the territory of Ukraine,” brought a figurine filled with explosives to the cafe and handed it to war correspondent Maxim Fomin, better known as Vladlen Tatarsky. As a result of the explosion, the journalist was killed and 52 other people were injured.
