Israel is “bombing” Gaza: the country’s army reported the destruction of more than 400 Hamas facilities

Israeli aircraft continue to carry out massive strikes on targets in Gaza. The Times of Israel newspaper writes about this with reference to the press secretary of the Israel Defense Forces, Daniel Hagari.

“IDF air strikes hit 426 targets in Gaza,” Hagari said, adding that the targets hit included tunnels and infrastructure of the Palestinian Hamas movement. Also, according to him, 100 sources of “immediate threat” were hit, and several hundred Hamas launch sites were bombed.

Hagari also said authorities would evacuate all their residents near the Gaza border within 24 hours. He warned that all Hamas government targets would be targeted.

In response, the Palestinian Hamas movement issued a warning to Israel. The movement will respond “painfully” to attacks on residential buildings in the Gaza Strip, noted in a statement by the organization’s representative Abdul Latif Al-Kanu, quoted by RIA Novosti.

He warned that Hamas will continue to carry out concentrated attacks and unique operations behind enemy lines.

According to the latest data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the death toll as a result of Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip has exceeded 300, with about 2,000 people injured. According to Israeli authorities, Hamas attacks killed more than 350 Israeli civilians and injured almost 2,000 people.

Recall that the Palestinian movement Hamas attacked Israel with rockets on the morning of October 7. The militants were able to take control of some settlements and took hostages. The group said it aims to create a Palestinian state. In response, the Israel Defense Forces launched the counter-terrorism Operation Iron Swords in the Gaza Strip. Later, the President of partially recognized Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, declared the right of the Palestinian people to protection from Israel, he was quoted by Wafa. On October 9, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that most of the militants who had entered Israeli territory had been destroyed. Read more here.
