She named a morning habit that deprives the body of energy. “You lie in bed for another five or ten minutes before the alarm wakes you up again. This is extremely confusing for the body,” the doctor noted. She recommends setting your alarm clock ten minutes later than usual and getting up as soon as it rings.

Otherwise, the body will fight the so-called “sleep inertia” – this is a special feeling that a person experiences immediately after waking up. In extreme cases, this can last for hours, the specialist noted.

According to her, long periods of sleep exceeding 9 hours also have a negative impact on health. They can increase the risk of dementia, cause memory loss and lead to weight gain.

The doctor listed several signs of poor sleep rhythm. According to her, there are problems if it takes at least 30 minutes to fall asleep, and dreams are rarely remembered. Other signs include feeling tired after waking up, acute hunger, waking up earlier, drowsiness and fatigue.
