The law increasing fines for failure to appear at military commissariats has come into force. The draft also envisages punishment for failure to provide assistance to military registration and enlistment offices in mobilization work and failure to provide lists of citizens subject to mobilization.

The law was adopted by the State Duma on July 25 and approved by the Federation Council on July 28. The country’s president signed it on July 31.

According to the initiative, now failure to appear at the military registration and enlistment office on a summons without a good reason will result in a penalty of 10 to 30 thousand rubles. fine If you do not notify the military registration and enlistment office about changes in personal data, you will be fined 1–5 thousand rubles. And if you do not report a change in marital status, education, place of work, study or position, or a move to a new place of residence without changing registration, you will be fined from 1 thousand to 5 thousand rubles. In addition, a conscript who changed his place of residence for more than three months during conscription and did not report this to the military registration and enlistment office will be punished with a fine in the amount of 10 thousand to 20 thousand rubles.

They will also be fined for failure to submit to the military registration and enlistment office lists of citizens subject to initial military registration, for failure to notify them of summonses and failure to ensure the opportunity to appear on time when called. Officials will pay from 40 thousand to 50 thousand rubles for this, legal entities – from 350 thousand to 400 thousand rubles.

Administrative liability is also being introduced for failure to provide assistance to military commissariats in their mobilization work when mobilization is announced: for officials the fine will be from 60 thousand to 80 thousand rubles, for legal entities – from 400 thousand to 500 thousand rubles.

The text of the law states that, in addition to a fine, Russians who do not appear at the military registration and enlistment office face restrictions on the right to drive a car, a ban on registration as an individual entrepreneur and self-employed, suspension of state registration of real estate, and refusal to receive loans.
