Putin has determined how many Russians will be sent to the army this fall

The number of Russians subject to conscription as part of the autumn conscription has been determined. According to the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, 130 thousand recruits will be drafted into the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The text of the decree was published on the official legal information portal.

The document also instructs to send military personnel whose conscription period has expired to the reserves.

Earlier, the Russian General Staff promised not to send conscripts to the Northern Military District zone. It was reported that a third of the conscripts will be sent to training formations and military units, where they will master modern military equipment and receive a military specialty within five months. In this case, the service life will not change and will be one year. The General Staff also emphasized that they do not plan to carry out additional mobilization, since to carry out the tasks of the Northern Military District there are enough people willing to serve under a contract, as well as those who have already signed a contract and volunteers.

As the Ministry of Defense clarified, the autumn conscription will begin on October 1 in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation, with the exception of certain regions of the Far North, where citizens are conscripted from November 1 to December 31 due to the climate. In other regions, the start of sending conscripts from collection points is scheduled for October 16.
