Through a website, Ambato disseminates its tourist attractions

The creation of the page www.visit.ambato.gob.ec will allow the tourist to know the main attractions, gastronomy, places to shop, heritage sites and a variety of information about Ambato, capital of the province of Tungurahua.

Diana Freire, Head of Tourism for the Municipality of Ambato, explained that the website was born out of the need for tourists who wanted to visit the canton and asked what to wear, what places you can visit, how you can get to the city, where it is located.

He argued that for this reason a purely informative digital portal was created, which promotes tourism.

On the page there is the history and important events of the canton, which are anchored in three aspects with which you want to promote the city: feel, discover and enjoy.

Also information, for example, on the distance between the places that the tourist wants to visit.

In addition, promotional videos of each of the tourist attractions, but not only of the fifth-museums, but also of the events that take place in the city, such as the Fruit and Flower Festival (FFF), Sol de Noviembre and the agenda of cultural events.

Freire highlighted the virtual tours that can be done through the botanical garden, made up of the Martínez Holguín and Juan León Mera house museums. And he added that a similar work of seven churches is in the process of being developed, since what is intended is that people not only know Ambato as the shopping or commercial destination, but also know about the cultural, historical and religious part.

More than 300 establishments join the promotional campaign in Ambato

For this, the rural parishes of the canton are even taken into account.
