The funeral service for the author of legendary hits Nikolai Dobronravov was held in Moscow. The ceremony, which lasted about an hour, was secret. The widow of the poet Alexander Pakhmutov left the church in the Sretensky Monastery in tears, following the coffin with her husband’s body. Of the celebrities at the secret funeral service, only singer Lev Leshchenko, reports MK.
After the funeral service, the coffin with Dobronravov’s body was transported to the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, where the farewell ceremony is taking place. The leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov, Olympic champions Vladislav Tretyak and Alexander Yakushev, television producer Yuri Aksyuta, singer Sergei Penkin, and singer Zara came to see off the composer on his final journey.
Dobronravov’s funeral will take place at the Novodevichy cemetery. His grave will be located next to the graves of academician Vladimir Fortov, USSR Marshal Viktor Kulikov, aircraft designer Mikhail Simonov and the first Minister of Defense of the USSR Sergei Sokolov.
Let us recall that the Soviet and Russian songwriter Nikolai Dobronravov died at the age of 94 after a long illness. He wrote poems for such popular songs as “The Team of Our Youth”, “Hope”, “Tenderness”, “Bird of Happiness”, “A Coward Doesn’t Play Hockey”.
