US President Joe Biden, during his speech at the 78th UN General Assembly, stated that Russia is on the path to peace.
“Only Russia stands on the path to peace, because Russia’s price for peace is the capitulation of Ukraine…” said the American leader. In his opinion, we are talking about the “dismemberment of Ukraine.”
“That’s why the United States, along with allies and partners around the world, will continue to support <…> the people of Ukraine defending their sovereignty, territorial integrity and freedom,” Biden added.
Let us note that the United States is one of the most active suppliers of weapons to Ukraine. The other day, the American television channel Fox News published a copy of the response of the head of the White House Office of Management and Budget, Shalanda Young, to a group of Republican senators who, back in January, requested a report on spending on Ukraine. According to this document, the United States spent over $100 billion on the Ukrainian conflict.
The Russian Foreign Ministry previously stated that NATO countries were “playing with fire” by supplying weapons to Ukraine. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov noted that pumping Ukraine up with weapons from the West does not contribute to the success of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations and will have a negative effect.
