Japanese doctors have learned about new factors that cause cancer

An imbalance of fats and carbohydrates harms the body and shortens a person’s life. Japanese doctors came to this conclusion after analyzing the results of a new study, reports The Journal of Nutrition.

Scientists assessed data from about 35 thousand men and about 46 thousand women – aged 35 to 69 years.

It turned out that the development of cancer increases the insufficient consumption of carbohydrates. This is especially true for men, experts noted. Their study showed that men who consumed a lot of fatty foods were more likely to die from cancer. According to scientists, a person is in danger if there is too little carbohydrate in the diet, or, conversely, too much fat.

In addition, Swedish experts have determined that certain vitamins can cause cancer if they are overdosed. Analysis of the data showed that the excess of vitamins E and C in the body stimulates the growth of new blood vessels, resulting in oversaturation of tissues with oxygen. Also, these vitamins are antioxidants and suppress oxidative processes in tissues. These conditions, according to scientists, are favorable for the development of cancer cells, writes The Journal of Clinical Investigation.
