The United States introduced new sanctions against the Russian Federation, expanding the “black list”. More than 20 people and several dozen companies were subject to restrictions, according to a message from the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury.
The sanctions also affected the president of Transmashholding Andrei Bokarev, the head of UMMC Iskandar Makhmudov, and the founder of the Russian Copper Company Igor Altushkin.
Among the companies associated with mineral resources, the list included the Yanskaya Mining Company, the Taimyr Resources Company, the Taimyr Mining Company, the Siberian Coal Company, and Redmetconcentrate. The restrictions also affected Avtodor, AvtoVAZ, Moskvich, Transmashholding, and NPO Saturn. AvtoVAZ, Moskvich, Transmashholding, Avtodor, Saturn, NPO Soyuz.
The US Treasury also added the Northern Diamond Company and AGD Diamonds to the restrictive list. Firms from Belgium, Slovenia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and the Central African Republic were subject to restrictions – a total of 150 foreign companies and individuals for helping to circumvent sanctions against Russia.
The sanctions list included two Finnish companies, Luminor and Siberica, and their French and Estonian corporate representatives. Also on the list were Turkish companies: Margiana Insaat Dis Ticaret and Demirci Bilisim Ticaret Sanayi, Denkar Ship Construction, shipbuilding agency ID Ship Agency and its owner Ilker Dogruyol, CTL Limited.
At the same time, ex-member of the board of Sberbank Natalya Alymova and ex-member of the board of directors of the bank FC Otkritie Paul Goldfinch were excluded from the sanctions lists, it follows from the document.
