Nutritionist and nutritionist Liliya Starodubtseva voiced a dire forecast that by 2035, more than half of the world’s population will suffer from excess weight.
At the same time, the specialist called children the most vulnerable category of people. The doctor is sounding the alarm: every year the number of overweight patients increases significantly. “Every day I come across children who are overweight from an early age,” Starodubtseva said in an interview with RIAMO.
The expert also said that it is important to understand where the extra pounds come from. According to her, many people first wonder how to create a weight loss schedule, but this is the wrong approach.
“What do people usually think about a person who is overweight? That he neglects the rules of nutrition, he has a weak character, that he simply eats more than necessary. In fact, the true cause of excess weight is always several steps ahead of the excess weight itself,” Starodubtseva emphasized.
“First, a malfunction occurs in the body, the person gains weight. Further along the chain, excess fat causes an imbalance in hormones, endocrine disorders occur, the malfunction moves to the functioning of such important organs as the liver and gallbladder, and ends with an increase in pathogenic flora in the gastrointestinal tract,” the nutritionist explained. At the same time, due to failures, an overweight person absorbs a tiny amount of nutrients. As a result, he wants to eat even more, but an excess of food does not fill the deficits, but only aggravates the problems.
The nutritionist listed various disorders, autoimmune processes, problems with the gastrointestinal tract, constant stress, various inflammations and parasitic infections as the most common causes of excess weight.
Previously, nutritionist Olga Malyarova told how to eat breakfast correctly so as not to gain weight.
