Governors and acting governors won in all regions where elections were held

On Single Voting Day in Russia, elections of various levels were held in 85 regions, including new ones. The heads of the subjects were directly elected in 21 regions – all current governors, as well as acting governors, retained their posts, according to the data of the Central Election Commission.

Two regional heads were elected from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, all the rest were United Russia members. There were no self-nominated candidates in the elections this year.

According to the Central Election Commission, the highest scorers were the acting governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin – 86.64% (United Russia) and the head of Kuzbass Sergei Tsivilev (85.23%), the governors of the Moscow region – Andrey Vorobyov (83.68%), Ivanovo – Stanislav Voskresensky (82.49%), Nizhny Novgorod – Gleb Nikitin (82.82%), Orlovskaya – Andrey Klychkov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation, 82.09%), Pskov – Mikhail Vedernikov (86.30%), Samara – Dmitry Azarov (83 .83%). Governor of the Amur Region Vasily Orlov scored 82.38%.

In Moscow, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin won with 76.38%. The head of the Tyumen region Alexander Moor scored 78.7%, the Voronezh governor Alexander Gusev – 76.8%, the head of the Altai region Viktor Tomenko – 76.1%.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, acting governor Mikhail Kotyukov received 70.21%. In Khakassia, the current governor Valentin Konovalov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) scored 63.14%. In Yakutia, the head of the republic, Aisen Nikolaev, received 75.77%. In the Novosibirsk region, Governor Andrei Travnikov has 75.72%, in the Magadan Region, Governor Segei Nosov has 72.39%, and Acting Head of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug Vladislav Kuznetsov has 72.34%. In the Primorsky Territory, Oleg Kozhemyako received 72.78%, and Omsk acting governor Vitaly Khotsenko received 76.33% of the vote.

In another 5 regions, governors were elected by local parliaments. Thus, in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, deputies of the legislative assembly re-elected Dmitry Artyukhov. In four new regions (LPR, DPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions) there will be the same procedure, but it will take place later: on a single voting day, regional deputies were elected there.

The single voting day in Russia ended on September 10. Elections at various levels were held in 85 subjects, including in 26 regions, heads were elected – in 21 by direct voting, in another 5 – through voting in parliament.
