India will host the G20 summit on September 9-10. The main events will take place in New Delhi, and the host country has made every effort to prepare for the visit of distinguished guests, MK reports.
As noted in the material, the authorities literally – with bulldozers – cleared the city of kilometers of huts in which the beggars and cripples lived, as well as of outdoor open latrines. Fragrant flowerpots with flowers are installed along the roads. But there are no more beggars, cripples or packs of stray dogs on the streets. However, there are still many monkeys in the city, which, according to the mayor’s office, “cannot be forcibly removed from their natural habitat.”
At the same time, the authorities have developed a set of measures that will protect world leaders and delegations arriving at the G20 meeting from annoying animals. It is noted that there are special people on duty in hotels and at the summit sites who can imitate the cries of large and angry langur monkeys, which are at odds with the rhesus monkeys that have filled the city.
Another level of protection was the installation of life-size cardboard cutouts of langurs next to restaurants, on sidewalks and in park areas. In this way, the Indians are going to scare away the macaques and protect guests from their obsessive attention, as well as hooligan and sometimes aggressive antics.
