Lyudmila lived in the apartment provided to her for a little over a year. She claims that she moved from one dilapidated house to another dilapidated house. The woman contacted the federal media, reports newizv.ru.
Activists of the Popular Front on Sakhalin tried to understand this situation. They wrote in their Telegram channel that the house is not in disrepair and has not previously been recognized as such. In 2017, it was overhauled by the Capital Improvement Fund and a contractor. In 2019–2020, the entrances and façade were renovated. In 2023, the sewerage and water supply networks are being repaired.
The other residents of the house also do not agree with Lyudmila and do not consider the apartment building to be unsafe. They associate her activity with an attempt to get an even more comfortable and spacious apartment from the authorities. It is interesting that the apartment in which Lyudmila Anikeeva lives and which she wants to change is not the only one for her. According to information received by the Popular Front, her family owns three apartments in the Uglegorsk district, two of which are for rent.
Lawyers explain the current situation as a legal gap. According to current legislation, when relocating emergency housing, the presence of other residential premises owned is not taken into account. This situation sometimes gives rise to speculation and attempts to get rich.
