He explained that especially a lot of sugar enters the body with sweet soda. In it, the amount of sugar can reach up to 25 grams per 100 milliliters, that is, half a glass of the drink contains the daily amount of sugar for an adult.
Kabanov noted that the most harmful combination of products for the liver: animal fats and sugar. So, if a person also eats fatty pork, washing it down with soda, then the liver gets a real hit. And if a person drinks alcohol at the same time, then this is a double whammy. With the abuse of such products, cirrhosis and liver cancer develop, the physician explained.
He noted that non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is one of the most common chronic liver diseases in the world. However, signs of the first stage of the disease may either be absent or manifest weakly. Among them – weakness, fatigue, lack of appetite, as well as a feeling of heaviness and discomfort in the liver.
The doctor warned that there was no cure for fatty hepatosis itself. However, risk factors can be removed or reduced, including a healthy diet.
