Digital Trends: Apple Vision Pro will be able to control the user’s emotions

Apple Vision Pro augmented reality glasses will be able to capture the user’s brain activity and emotions. This is reported by Digital Trends.

The previously hidden feature of the headset was named by journalists after studying a new Apple patent related to the Vision Pro. The document says that alternative reality glasses can be equipped with physiological sensors that collect information about the user. Sensors can be used for various purposes.

So, in the description of the patent it is said that the device can be equipped with sensors of brain activity, muscle activity or heart rate. The device has an electrode for electroencephalography, with which Vision Pro can analyze the behavior of the user’s brain and monitor various indicators. The authors of Digital Trends noted that Apple, even after the announcement of the glasses, kept this information secret.

Experts suggested that augmented reality glasses are able to analyze the brain’s reaction to a particular displayed content. The authors assumed that Vision Pro would use this information to offer the user the most relevant image, photo or video. “This can create a much more immersive experience when the headset works in tandem with content, potentially eliciting an emotional response from the user,” the reporters concluded.

At the end of August, journalists from Patently Apple stated that Apple planned the release of augmented reality glasses about 20 years ago. The authors made this conclusion based on a patent describing the headset, dated 2007.
