The event aims to raise more than $ 100,000 that will be used to purchase toys, grocery bags and even backpacks with school supplies for boys and girls from vulnerable sectors of Manta and other Manabi cantons such as Santa Ana and Montecristi.
Lucía Fernández, executive of the Manta Chamber of Commerce and coordinator of the event, predicted that the program to be carried out in the surroundings of the central park (of the Mother) of the Manabi port from 10:00 will be a success and now they have been imposed to collect funds to deliver school supplies to low-income students.
“Apart from his toy there will be the school backpack, but there will also be a grocery bag for the elderly and families in need,” said Fernández.

During the day there will be local artists such as the García Payo sisters, Karen Montenegro, Ariana Peláez, Roberto Morales, Angie Blanco, Luis Macías, Pierina Rosado, among others. In addition, Daniel Beta will participate in the day from 5:00 p.m.
The selection of the neighborhoods where toys will be donated before and after Christmas will be coordinated with neighborhood leaders or priests of ecclesiastical parishes.
