Two aircraft-type drones were destroyed over the Bryansk and Kursk regions. They were shot down by air defense forces, according to the Ministry of Defense.

“On August 27, at night and in the morning, the Kyiv regime made another attempt at terrorist attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation using aircraft-type UAVs,” the report says.

Kursk Governor Roman Starovoit noted on Telegram that a drone crashed into an apartment building at night in Kursk. “Glasses were broken on some floors. Also, several glasses in the building of the engineering faculty of the Kursk State Agrarian University were damaged by the blast wave, ”Starovoit specified. There were no fires, he said, and no one was injured. He also promised to assist in the restoration of damaged property.

Earlier, The New York Times wrote that the increase in drone attacks on Russia is connected with the desire of Kyiv to demonstrate to the Ukrainian public that the Armed Forces of Ukraine can still strike back against the backdrop of a slow-moving counteroffensive. The media, referring to the words of the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, noted that Kyiv did not directly take responsibility for the attacks, but stated that the strikes would continue. In the United States, it is believed that if such tactics have a strategic goal, then it is to raise the morale of the population and troops.

Recently, Russian regions have been regularly attacked by drones. The other day, Ukraine tried to attack the territory of the Russian Federation with 42 aircraft-type drones – nine UAVs were shot down over Crimea, 33 were suppressed by electronic warfare, and a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was intercepted in the Kaluga region. On the night of August 26, an aircraft-type drone was also shot down on approach to Moscow.
