Two earthquakes have been registered between the early hours and tomorrow of this Monday, December 6, in the province of Morona Santiago.
The first earthquake occurred around 01:30 at a depth of 12 kilometers 57.24 km from Yaupi, near the eastern border with Peru.
Another 3.5 magnitude earthquake occurred at 06:34 at a depth of 12 kilometers and 9.19 km from Yaupi, Morona Santiago.
Regarding the first earthquake, the Risk Management Service reported that it was slightly perceived in at least four provinces. There were reports in Taisha, Tiwintza, Sucúa, Gualaquiza, Santiago de Méndez, Huamboya, Limón Indanza, Logroño, Palora, San Juan Bosco and Morona (Morona Santiago province) and in Tena (Napo).
Meanwhile, in the inter-Andean alley there were more reports in Riobamba, Penipe and Alausí, cantons of Chimborazo, and in Ambato, Tungurahua.
Also in social networks, users indicated that the earthquake was felt in towns in the south of the country such as Loja, in the province of the same name, also in Gualaceo and Cuenca, in Azuay,
