Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree establishing the oath for members of volunteer units and territorial defense fighters. The corresponding document was published on the Internet portal of legal information.
The decree also spelled out the text of the oath, which citizens must pronounce in front of the Russian flag.
Territorial defense in Russia is measures for the protection and defense of important facilities, including those that ensure the operation of transport, communications, communications, as well as for the fight against saboteurs, which are carried out in wartime (Article 22 of the Law “On Defense”).
